Polish actress Agnieszka Grochowska is acknowledged as one of the finest actresses of her generation. Some of her most prominent roles include: ‘Klara Keller’ in the Oscar-winner IN DARKNESS; ‘Danuta Walesa’ in WALESA: MAN OF HOPE; ‘Nina Andreeva’ in CHILD 44, which was directed by Daniel Espinosa; OBCE NIEBO; and as ‘Nina’ in BEYOND THE STEPPES, directed by Vanja d'Alcantara. Agnieszka won several Best Actress awards for her portrayal of ‘Maria’ in UPPERDOG, and she played ‘Ileana’ in THE HOPE ROOMS, starring Andrew Scott and Ciaran Hinds. She played Elle Fanning’s mother in Max Minghella’s debut feature film, TEEN SPIRIT, which premiered at Toronto International Film Festival. Other recent work includes: playing the part of ‘Dr. Kowalska’ in the 8-part thriller series SANCTUARY opposite Matthew Modine; the role of ‘Laura Goldsztajn’ in Netflix’s adaptation of Harlan Coben’s THE WOODS; the lead role in writer-director Bettina Oberli’s feature film drama MY WONDERFUL WANDA; Anna Kazejak’s FUCKING BORNHOLM; the crime feature HOW I FELL IN LOVE WITH A GANGSTER, which was directed by Maciej Kawulski; as ‘Grazyna Popiel’ in Jan P. Matuszyński’s LEAVE NO TRACES; and as ‘Laura Goldsztajn-Kopinska’ in the thriller series HOLD TIGHT.
