DAMIAN HARDUNG

 

Damian Hardung was born in 1998 and is a multi-talented young German actor. At the age of thirteen, he played his first leading role in the feature film CLARA AND THE SECRET OF THE BEARS by Tobias Ineichen. He became known to the broader public as ‘Jonas’ in the series THE RED RIBBON SOCIETY. The series was extremely popular in Germany, especially amongst younger audiences, and went on to receive awards domestically, and in Canada, Poland, Latvia, and Denmark. Damian played the role of ‘Rick’ in the German box office hit THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN THE WORLD, which was directed by Aron Lehmann. He soon began to work internationally, including alongside Rupert Everett & John Turturro, as the young novice ‘Adso da Melk’ in the eight-part miniseries THE NAME OF THE ROSE which was based on Umberto Eco’s bestseller novel, and which was directed by the Italian filmmaker Giacomo Battiato. Damian is perhaps best known to international audiences for his portrayal of ‘Dan Riffert’ in three seasons of the Netflix series HOW TO SELL DRUGS ONLINE (FAST), which was directed by Arne Feldhusen & Lars Montag. His other notable roles include such projects as Neele Leana Vollmar’s AUERHAUS; WAR SAILOR; OUR WONDERFUL YEARS; as ‘James’ in SAVE ME, SAVE YOU, SAVE US; and the upcoming film STELLA: A LIFE, directed by Kilian Riedhof.
