HENESSI SCHMIDT
Henessi Schmidt graduated from the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy in 2019, and since then has developed a strong film & theatre career in Estonia. In 2020, she was awarded the Best Film Actress Award by the Estonian Cultural Endowment for her lead performance in the romantic comedy WINTER: WHERE THE HEART IS by Ergo Kuld, in which Henessi played the role of ‘Maie’. Her other performances include: the role of ‘Hedwig’ in Elmo Nuganen’s fantasy feature film MELCHIOR THE APOTHECARY; Helen Takkin’s HOW WE WAKE UP; and the drama FIREBIRD which was written & directed by Peeter Rebane. Her television work includes: the comedy crime series REVENGE OFFICE as ‘Lauren Mast’; and the role of ‘Mariliis’ in ELU KESET LINNA. Most recently, Henessi can be seen in the recurring key role of ‘Gytha’ in the MGM & Netflix series VIKINGS: VALHALLA.
