KIRILL PIROGOV

 

Originally from Moscow, Kirill has established a reputation as one of Russia’s foremost stage, and screen actors. His previous film work includes the role of ‘Svyokor’ in Fedor Bondarchuk’s hugely successful Sci-Fi feature DARK PLANET; THE ADMIRER by Vitaliy Melnikov; Oksana Bychkova’s PITER FM; and as ‘Stas’ in WAKE ME UP, directed by Guillaume Protsenko. His television work includes: ‘Mikhail Gordon’ in the adaptation of DOCTOR ZHIVAGO; TROTSKY, in which he played the character of ‘Ivan Ilyin’; and “Otkroveniya” which was written and directed by Aleksey Krasovskiy. Recently, his work has been seen by a wider international audience, most notably in the BBC drama series MCMAFIA - in which Kirill played the role of ‘Ilya Fedorov’. Between projects, Kirill also finds time to teach the next generation of Russian actors at the prestigious Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute in Moscow. Kirill’s recent work includes: the feature film LEAVING AFGHANISTAN by Pavel Lungin; and playing the role of ‘Gribanov’ opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in Dominic Cooke’s international spy thriller THE COURIER.
