YANNICK JOZEFZOON
Yannick started acting with theatre group DNA and appeared in several film and television productions from a young age. In 2011, he enrolled into the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Maastricht were he graduated as an actor in 2015. He has acted in films like: BOY 7; DE HELD; and AS IF I’M CRAZY, and television series including MEIDEN; VAN DE HERENGRACHT; and SMERIS. Yannick is also an accomplished stage actor, and he has played in productions at the companies of Het Nationale Theater and Likeminds. He starred in three solo performances, including: VOOR MIJN KINDEREN with Likeminds. He other work includes: ROMEO & JULIET by Marcus Azzini; OOSTPOOL; A SEAT AT THE TABLE by Arie de Mol; IN BLUE; HOLLAND’S HOOP; ZUIDAS; ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE; and NETFLIX & CHILL. In 2018, Yannick was nominated for a Dutch Academy Award (Golden Calf) for his leading performance as ‘Sharif’ in the film TOM ADELAAR, which was directed by Gonzalo Fernandez. His recent work includes: playing the lead role of ‘Andy Ruiter’ in the television series AMSTERDAM VICE; the short film PORFOTTO by Edson da Conceicao; the role of ‘Greg Driessen’ in BONNIE & CLYDE; as ‘Jimin Blyth’ in the feature SPUTUM by Dan Geesin; PIECE OF MY HEART by Dana Nechushtan; ‘Dennis’ in FEMI by Dwight Fagbamila; and the part of ‘Saïd’ in the action series GELDWOLVEN. Yannick has been selected as a European Shooting Star for 2023.
