RICHARD SAMMEL

 

Richard Sammel is an extraordinary talent. A German actor, living between Paris and Berlin, he speaks 4 languages fluently, and regularly performs leading roles in each of them. He has played key roles in such high profile films as: CASINO ROYALE; LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL; and his remarkable performance in Quentin Tarantino’s INGLORIOUS BASTERDS which brought him international recognition. Richard's notable television performances include: the Saturn Award nominated role of ‘Thomas Eichorst’ in the third season of Guillermo del Torro’s THE STRAIN; ‘Schwartz’ in INTERPOL; and ‘Hartweg' in DA VINCI’S DEMONS. Recently, Richard starred as ‘Malachia’ in the television adaptation of Umberto Eco’s THE NAME OF THE ROSE. His recent work includes: Kader Ayd’s thriller A DAY LIKE A WEEK; the drama PICCOLINA BELLA; Gregory Kirchhoff’s BAUMBACHER SYNDROME; GATE TO HEAVEN by Jivan Avetisyan; as ‘Erik Osterland’ in the thriller THE HEAD directed by Jorge Dorado; and as ‘Prince Philip’ in SPENCER opposite Kristen Stewart.
